2017 MINI Clubman John Cooper Works Edition Now Available And With 231 HP

The 2017 MINI Clubman John Cooper Works Edition is now available boasting a 231hp. In addition to the aesthetic characteristics of all models signed by John Cooper Works, the new Mini Clubman also adds mechanical innovations of the brand and the versatility offered by the model. The new sporty Clubman combines an authentic race feeling with everyday practicality and long-distance suitability.

To begin with, the 2017 MINI Clubman John Cooper Works Edition has a 2.0-liter turbocharged 231 hp engine that features a six-speed manual transmission as standard equipment, while an eight-speed automatic transmission is available as an option. With either of the two boxes, the 2017 MINI Clubman John Cooper Works Edition is able to go from zero to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds, while top speed has been set at 238 km/h, according to AM-Online. These figures are very close to those of the Mini Cooper JCW edition.

Unsurprisingly, the chassis of the the 2017 MINI Clubman John Cooper Works Edition gets some specific adjustments, such as a Brembo-signed brake set, as reported by BMWBlog, a sportier suspension with optional adaptive dampers, an exhaust system, and 8-inch alloy wheels. Meanwhile, LED headlights, specific driving modes of Mini, Park Distance Control and Active Cruise Control with cameras and emergency braking function, among others, are part of the standard equipment.

Aesthetically, the 2017 MINI Clubman John Cooper Works Edition will be different from the rest of the range as it includes larger air inlets, side sills, a new spoiler and a new front grille. The charismatic 'JCW' logos are available throughout the body, while an exclusive Rebel Green paint option with a contrasting roof and mirrors is also available.

Inside the 2017 MINI Clubman John Cooper Works Edition, one can find sports seats with integrated headrests, stainless steel pedals, and a leather steering wheel. Two infotainment systems, with screens of 6.5 and 8.8 inches, are also available and compatible with AndroidPlay.
