iPhone is making waves with the launch of their latest model, the iPhone 7. This unit is a water proof, dust proof phone with upgraded camera features that claims to be the best that Apple has ever made.
It sounds very promising, but it seems that what is making a huge issue now is when Apple ditched the earphone jacks and replaced them with wireless AirPods. It appears as a sleek, wireless, rechargeable earphones.
Apple claims that this is the "future." But customers are having doubts as to the efficiency, the sound quality since it works via Bluetooth, it needs charging which is a bit of a hassle for people who wants it on the go, and the main concern is that this small device can easily get lost while in use.
True enough, even earphones with wires are always gets misplaced, what more two small AirPods.
Spigen took this opportunity to launch a new product to go with the AirPods, The AirPod Strap. This is practically rubber strap that allows users to attach each of the AirPods on either side.
This will keep the two pods intact when in use and can hold it if it accidentally falls off. The strap will drape at the user's neck. It is also very easy to install and doesn't take so much space.
This can greatly benefit the users who are are joggers and those who are engaged in more physical activities.
This is fantastic in a sense that there is a way for your AirPods not getting lost, but the thing is, it looks like it defeats the purpose of the said new technology that pushes "wireless as the future." It is also a concern that with this AirPods that already cost $159, you need to hassle yourself to pre-order the strap for another $9.99.
But then again, people will still opt for this rather than losing their Bluetooth earpieces.
