Self-driving 'Robotic Race Car' Debuts In The Highways

Despite the fact that this is far from becoming a reality, race cars which make use of no drivers have already been introduced during Roborace contest, and thus marking its introduction to the general public, which was held at Park's circuit in Donington.

The driverless race car called the Devbot was successfully able to finish a single lap around the course without any form of human intervention whatsoever, and this initiative to construct one has proved to be successful due it successfully running a full lap. 

This was made possible with the intervention of Kinetik, which is the investment fund behind the project based in London. It proved to be a very successful investment as the final output is seen to be a success  in all perspectives, leaving behind the critics of it  to be undermined by the great success  that this new technology has.

The moment the driverless technology starts to pick up steam, it is widely expected that there would be a full-on race which would enable different driverless cars to compete against each other on the race track.

This is deemed a great leap towards the improvement of this particular technology, and could also be viewed as a way of removing doubts that these driverless cars, the moment they go on sale would be limited to driving just over a short distance.

This could mark the start of the futuristic influx of technology as more and more car manufacturing companies will be inspired to take on the next step to prove that self-driving cars are not risky and are instead a  safe  and secure mode of transportation.

Truly indeed, with the help of this test run, driverless cars, after all, could be well utilized beyond just carpooling and going from one place to another, marking  the possible next stage of the industrial revolution.
