BMW has released a revised pricing statement for its 2014 BMW i8 plug-in hybrid sports car due to a destination charge price increase.

The vehicle now starts at $136,650, including a $950 destination charge, according to a company press release.

The Pure Impulse World option is now listed for $10,800, which includes LED headlights with cornering lights, a headliner in Anthracite, and a BMW i Blue seatbelt.

BMW's $2,000 Giga World option includes LED headlights with cornering lights, perforated leather seats, and 20-inch BMW i light alloy turbine or W spoke wheels.

The $3,000 Tera World option includes i Blue seatbelt, LED headlights with cornering lights, a Tera leather-and-cloth interior trim and two wheel options.

BMW revealed the price for the i8 last fall, but at the time it did not detail pricing options.

For example, the new price includes a $25 increase on the destination charge, according to the automaker.

For those who want to add Crystal White Pearl Metallic exterior paint with Frozen Grey or I Frozen Blue accent, expect the vehicle to cost $1,800 more.

BMW confirmed a number of standard features as well, including black brake calipers, Harman Kardon premium sound system, dynamic cruise control, and a multifunction steering wheel.

The 2014 i8 competes with a number of vehicles, including the 2014 Tesla Model S, among others.

Deliveries will most likely begin sometime in August, according to BMW.
