If early indicators are to be believed, Apple users may see a jailbreak for iOS 8 sooner than most would expect.

Though no one has released concrete evidence of a jailbreak, a well-known hacker who goes by the Twitter handle i0n1c claimed in a series of tweets that the first beta of iOS 8 "doesn't fix anything" meaning it should be breakable.

There is no available jailbreak for the current iOS 7.1.1. firmware, though a number of jailbreakers have released evidence that one is possible, including i0n1c.

Since Apple would just patch any vulnerabilities if a jailbreak was released before iOS 8 is released, Apple users shouldn't expect a jailbreak before sometime this fall.

A jailbreak could be released shortly after the debut of iOS 8 however, according to

Apple's iOS 8 debuted at the 2014 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) keynote on Monday.

The iPhone company discussed a number of new features and customization options to Apple's flagship mobile operating system.

The next OS is expected to become available right before the debut of Apple's next iPhone.

Apple's next smartphone will likely be called the iPhone 6.

Current rumors indicate that the iPhone 6 will be made available for purchase on September 19.

If this is true, the new smartphone would be unveiled to the public during a press event 10 days earlier on Sept. 9.

The iPhone 6 will come with a 4.7-inch screen display. Another model with a 5.5-inch display is expected to debut as early as this October, though it could be pushed back until January.

Rumored specs for the next iPhone device include: 1704 x 960 pixel resolution, a faster A8 processor, a thinner profile, bezel-free design, camera upgrades, and a more durable, sapphire screen.

Apple has not confirmed anything regarding its next smartphone yet.
