Ford is recalling a number of its E-Series vans on account of bubbles in the windshield that may cause visibility issues for drivers, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Approximately 4,532 vehicles are affected by the recall.
E-Series vans listed in the recall include: the 2011 Ford E-150, E-250, E-350 and E-450, according to the NHTSA.
"Due to improper manufacturing conditions, some of the windshields may form bubbles after an extended time in hot temperatures," said NHTSA in its summary.
The recall will begin on January 27.
No injuries or crashes have occurred due to the issue, according to Kelli Felker, a Ford spokeswoman, who spoke with Edmunds.
"The presence of bubbles may hinder driver's visibility, thereby increasing the risk of a crash," said the NHTSA.
Ford dealers are being instructed to replace the windshield if an issue is determined, free of charge.
