The 2015 Honda Fit will be unveiled at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, according to the automaker.
Honda has said the third-generation car was designed to be more fuel efficient and spacious and will "showcase significant advancements."
The Fit features a new platform and Earth Dreams Technology powertrain.
Honda has not released technical specifications for the vehicle yet, but it is expected to come equipped with a 1.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine.
"The 2015 Fit builds on the current model's innovative packaging, flexible cargo capability and fun-to-drive character with spirited new styling, an even more spacious and refined interior packed with leading-edge connected car technologies," Honda said in a statement this week.
The Fit will also "offer enhanced fuel-efficiency and performance," according to the automaker.
It will be produced at Honda's new plant in Celaya, Mexico.
The 2013 Fit comes equipped with a the 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine and five-speed manual transmission that returns 27 mpg in city driving and 33 mpg on the highway, according to the EPA.
The Detroit Auto Show will be held Jan. 13 through 24 at the COBO Center in Detroit, Michigan.
Honda has sold 48,896 vehicles this year through November. The vehicle was first introduced in 2007.
