The 2018 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel has some recent developments that may come in as exciting for fans and industry experts. It is reported to be getting a package that makes it look even sportier as standard.

The Chevrolet Cruze Diesel is getting the sporty RS Package as standard. The Cruze Diesel is actually considered the most economical non-hybrid vehicle in the U.S. today. It has an EPA rating of 52 mpg on highway, 30 mpg in the city and 37 mpg combined. Sedan is the only available option at present, however, a hatchback is underway.

The 2018 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel hatchback will still be powered by the same 1.6-liter diesel engine capable of producing 137-horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission as standard, with a nine-speed automatic transmission soon to be available.

The 2018 Cruze Diesel hatchback will come with RS package to look even sportier and athletic. It boasts of additional rear spoiler, sporty body kit, and 18-inch wheels.

The 52 mpg 2018 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel is expected to start with a price tag of $24,670. It will also be offered in Pepperdust Metallic, which is a fancier version of brown. It does have the Convenience Package that will set one back with an additional $1,150 if one desires to have a gas powered car.

The 2018 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel hatchback is expected to hit dealerships this coming fall. Since the latest Cruze will be available for purchase in few months, it is best to take advantage of 2017 Chevrolet Cruze offers and promos.
