VW Golf Mk2 4Motion Still Insanely Fast, Thanks To Its 1233-HP!

The VW Golf Mk2 4Motion made waves as it showcased its brute strength and power producing 1233-horsepower last year. It finished 8.69-seconds in a quarter mile distance. This definitely was mind-blowing as car enthusiasts and industry experts altogether gave their seal of approval.

Seven months later, this hot hatch is still roaring and zooming down the drag strip with fiery power. It is certainly giving hypercars a run for its money. Boba Motoring managed to make the VW Gold Mk2 4Motion finish two seconds faster than the initial record set back in November 2016. From November's 8.69-seconds, this time around, it finished 8.67-seconds with a top speed of 281kph.

The VW Gold Mk2 4Motion also accelerated from zero to 100kph in just 2.5-seconds. This is definitely hypercar-worthy acceleration speed and standards. Even more interesting, this beast of a ride comes looking totally stock in all aspects, except for its drag tires.

This insane VW runs neck-and-neck with Porsche 911 Turbo S, given its power and speed. When this was released three decades ago, it only came with a 1.8-liter fuel injected four-cylinder engine capable of producing 137-horsepower. Who would've known that such car, with the right modification, is able to reach soaring speeds and incredible power enough to put newer hypercars to shame.

This VW vehicle's power comes from quick-shifting sequential transmission and four drag slicks on the wheels. The "looks can be deceiving" cliche definitely hold true for this modified Golf. From the looks of it, this ride is nothing but ordinary. However, all eyes will be on it as it showcases its sheer 1233-horsepower and 806 pound-feet of torque!

With today's latest automotive technological advancements, any simple and ordinary car can be the king of the road. The VW Golf Mk2 4Motion is an ultimate testament to what technology can do to a once old and boring car. With some adjustments and modifications, it has reached records no one has ever imagined when it was first introduced in the market some years ago.
