The new 2017 Maserati Ghibli 350 Sport Edition has been announced to go on sale in Australia. The automaker boasts "The leader of the pack. Now packed with more."

The limited edition Ghibli 350 Sport is expected to come with more of everything. The regular Maserati Ghibli sedan already claimed to excel in its Italian design, with its sleek and sporty look. It also boasts of its unashamed luxury with the elegant lines on its interior. The new Sport edition offers more than the already excellent regular Ghibli.

The new Ghibli 350 Sport edition boasts of its new standard fitment of the Carbon Pack. The exterior has been upgraded with several carbon fiber trimmings.

The new carbon fiber trims were scattered on several exterior aspects. There is now a carbon fiber trim at the B-pillar, lip spoiler on the boot, door handles, and carbon side mirrors.

Furthermore, the already sophisticated interior has been refreshed too. Leather materials now abound inside.

The Ghibli 350 Sport edition now sports full Italian leather sports seats and special Inox Sport pedals. The dash, steering wheel and door cards are now wrapped with leather too.

The limited edition also comes with extra stopping power. The new Maserati Ghibli 350 Sport edition has the Dual Cast Braking System.

Looking underneath, the limited edition retained the regular Ghibli's powerful specs. The luxury sport sedan runs with the same Ferrari-built 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, that is the non-S variant. The engine can deliver 257kW at 5500rpm, and 500Nm between a 1750-4500rpm range.

In terms of acceleration rate, the Ghibli accelerates from 0-100km/h in 5.5 seconds. The average fuel economy is recorded at 8.9L/100km.

The new Maserati Ghibli 350 Sport edition is now being offered in Australia with a starting price of $149,990. Only 60 units are reportedly produced and announced to be on sale until June or while supply lasts.
