2017 Jeep Compass: A Much More Competitive Small Crossover

A much improved 2017 Jeep Compass than its predecessor is taking over the road. For an affordable and comfortable crossover SUV that can still handle dirt and rough road, this model is a perfect choice. Meanwhile, the previous version of the Compass also comes as a 2017 model alongside with the new version.

It's been a while since questions were raised on how many Compass model for this year will be made, the answer is, there is two Jeep Compass for 2017. The company released its previous-generation model for the first part this year and then switched over to the redesigned Compass.

Most of the drivers do prefer the new/redesigned 2017 Jeep Compass since the first one that went out had suffered some inconsistency when it comes to performance, less quality interior, and is said to be a rough ride. As to the redesigned Compass, it indeed shows an important development.

The vehicle is available in four trim levels. The first one is the Sport trim that comes with cloth seats and 16 inches wheels which are also one of the compact crossover SUVs that is affordable. The second trim is the Latitude. It comes with larger 17 inches wheels, access to the important driver assist systems, and upgraded seating surfaces.

Third trim in the line is the Limited which is only available with an all-wheel drive system but comes with more of convenience- and luxury-oriented features. The last one is the Trailhawk trim level which is the trail-rated Compass that comes with unique features that optimize its off-road capabilities. In addition, all of the mentioned trim levels comes with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 180 of horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque.

The all-new 2017 Jeep Compass also features a stronger chassis, simplified powertrain choices, and a revised suspension tuning. Both of the exterior and interior designs are new and also follow the looks established by the Cherokee and Grand Cherokee. Other highlights of the new vehicle model are advanced driver safety aids and a much-improved infotainment system.
