The "Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer" DLC pack has players excited for the arrival of a new class. Revealed officially in 2016, the update is making its way to the game soon, but it will arrive in beta form first.
Blizzard earlier said stated that "Rise of the Necromancer" will be released as a beta prior to its full product launch. That means it will enter its Public Test Realm program soon, where players are allowed to test patches before they are released to the public.
The "Diablo 3" DLC will not arrive until later this year, so those who cannot wait for its release can participate in the PTR when it goes live. However, Blizzard may implement a new mechanic to the beta version as the company said that the public testing will be a little different than usual.
While the game publisher still has not detailed what this could mean, reports say that the "Rise of the Necromancer" beta may be limited. It may be invite-only or it may only allow those who pre-ordered the game to enter public testing.
There are no concrete details yet on the "Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer" update's beta testing, but fans are already looking forward to the DLC. "Rise of the Necromancer" will bring the class Necromancer, which is new to the installment but already appeared in "Diablo 2." Along with it is a new set of skills that is centered on corpses and blood.
While the Necromancers are gory, they are neither bad nor good. According to "Diablo 3" Lead VFX Artist Julian Love, the class lives on a gray line between good and bad.
"And that's what the Necromancer represents, the darkest of the classes in that world, but one that is also doing good everywhere they go. There's a kind of juxtaposition between good and evil."
