The all new generations of A5 Coupe and S5 Coupe are improved in every way. They are packed with punchier engines, advanced safety and infotainment features, sharper dynamics, and slightly more spacious cabins.

According to The Motor Report, both the A5 and S5 Coupe have plenty of common with the Audi A4, which was designed by the legendary Audi designer Walter de Silva who claimed that it was the most beautiful car he has ever designed. The redesigned A5 and S5 Coupe have evolved from da Silva’s original design.

The tornado line from the original A5/S5 models that ran from the headlights over to the wheel arches to the rear end of the car is still present on the new ones. They also share a new power dome on the front bonnet is defined by two sculpted channels that highlight a central subtle bulge over the engine beneath. Both A5 and S5 Coupe are engaging in their own way. They both have great dynamic qualities and offer an excellent driving pleasure.

The Audi A5 Coupe comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged TFSI four-cylinder front-wheel engine that has 140kW and 320Nm and is tied with a seven-speed S Tronic dual-clutch transmission. The engine rides on 18-inch wheels and tires. Starting price of this model is $69,900.

The car is packed with high-tech safety features such as six airbags, pre-sense city with Autonomous Emergency Braking, pedestrian detection, stability control with electronic wheel-selective torque control and more. On the inside, the car comes with sport seats which are power adjustable for driver and passenger, and there are bottle holders in the doors and three-zone automatic air with a ventilated glove compartment.

On the other hand, the Audi S5 Coupe comes with 2.0-liter TFSI Quattro engine that has 185kW and 370Nm. The pricing starts at $81,500. The car comes with most of the stuff that are loaded into the A5, but there are some extras that crank the price higher. Some of these features are the diamond-patterned and stitched Nappa leather upholstery, more adjustment and support in the sports seats that are now heated as well, 360-degree cameras for easier maneuvering, a third mode to the virtual cockpit display, and more.
On the safety side, the S5 Coupe also comes with turn assist, active lane assist, traffic jam assist, adaptive cruise control with Stop&Go and frontal Audi presence that provides extended collision warnings up to the maximum vehicle speed.

While buyers are expecting their ordered cars to arrive, Audi is facing parts shortage after a fire at a supplier disrupted the deliveries of the parts. As reported by Yahoo, Audi will halt production of the A4 and A5 luxury models at its Ingolstadt base. Around 8,500 of the 43,000 workers at Audi’s base will be affected and will not be working between Monday and Thursday. However, the production of A4 and A5 models at a plant in Neckarsulm had not been affected.
