The Chevrolet Equinox is coming up with the all-new 2018 model. With this, the lineup is taking one step ahead for the American crossover. The new vehicle has a lot of add-ons to boast about.

The looks are refreshed and the vehicle now looks extremely classy. The updated Equinox gets an aerodynamic makeover. It also weighs lesser as it sheds an impressive 400 pounds of weight for the new generation.

The interior is boastful of the Chevy crossover. It has uniformly bleak "Jet Black" interior. It also has a panoramic sunroof shut. There is a subtle contrast on the dash and door trim. This elevates the overall mood of the interior mood.

The vehicle also comes with an optional denim-style seat fabric. It is actually very attractive. It has an embossed pattern to give it a little texture. The seats are firm and supportive. There is just a little complaint that the side bolstering on the seat back might feel a little tight, reported Auto Blog.

In addition, there are a number of safety and technology updates. The Equinox will feature a trio of turbocharged engines under the hood. It is reported that the first version will have the smallest-displacement motor which is a 1.5-liter turbo four. It includes engine stop-start.

The vehicle also has fuel economy figures of 26 mpg city and 32 highway for the front-wheel-drive model. If the all-wheel drive is chosen it will reduce by just two mpg across the board. The outgoing 2.4-liter 2017 Equinox was rated at 21 city/31 highway mpg for the FWD model, and 20 city/28 highway with AWD, reported Cars.

The new motor offers 31 more pound-feet of torque. It makes it available low in the rev range. It is tied to the six-speed automatic transmission. It is reasonably quiet.

The Equinox is expected to be a very popular vehicle. It is also expected to compete against cars like the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V.
