The Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a beautiful and light slim phone with a silver finished glass front with a grippy alloy back that gives the user a good grip. The phone itself looks like a twin brother of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and has a curved 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED screen, a lozenge-shaped home button and fingerprint sensor which also is visible with iPhone 7 smartphones.

According to Gulf News, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro uses its own processor, the Kirin 960, which was a CPU created and developed in-house by Huawei. It is basically sets of four cores. One set clocked at 2.4GHz mainly used for some demanding system task like games and multimedia while the other set runs at 1.8GHz for a less demanding task. The processor works with the Mali-G771 graphic co-processor. It runs in 6GB of RAM and has 128GB of internal storage

The Huawei Mate 9 Pro carries a lot of features that includes its ultra long-lasting battery. It is a massive 4000mAh that can allow users to enjoy two days phone usage under its smart power-saving technology. What could be better than that? Well, Huawei boasts of its SuperCharge technology, 20 minutes of charging can keep it running for the whole day.

The Huawei Mate 9 Pro uses software launcher Huawei's EMUI 5.0 and runs over the top of Android 7. The EMUI interface is like a mash-up version of Android and iOS. The EMUI 5.0 also comes with nice features such as a universal search bar to locating files and apps, quick easy access to the camera, calculator, flashlight and audio recorder and the Floating Dock, which contains soft keys, lock screen, and app close button. It has a polished and shiny looking giving it an executive appeal.

One disadvantage of this phone though that makes other new mobile phones like the Samsung A7 better is the waterproof and dustproof features. It's also interesting to see if Huawei will still keep its gameplay still after the new Samsung Galaxy Phone appears at the end of March 2017. Although the Huawei Mate 9 Pro might be a tough competitor to beat especially after winning the prestigious and highly reputable 2017 iF Design Awards Smartphone category.
