The Nissan Juke Nismo and Nismo RS cranks up a notch the already fun and playful Juke's insanity level. The Nismo Jukes are top-rated sport compact crossovers that are quick on its feet.

According to Car and Driver, the Nissan Juke is the most nonconformist new-wave crossover in the market. With the recent introduction of the Toyota CHR, will the Juke see some competition? Probably for the lower trims. However, Nissan's primary advantage over Toyota is its Juke Nismo crossovers.

Nissan has a special department for motorsports and speed called NISMO. It stands for Nissan Motorsports and it is already in its 33rd year. One recent Nismo product is the Nissan Juke Nismo RS and Nismo. These two Jukes pick up the pace and distinguish themselves from the rest of the pack with their increased output.

Both Nismo Jukes have a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine. Regular Jukes are capable of only 188 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. The Nismo Juke do 197 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque while the RS is capable of 211 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. This makes the high-performance Jukes all the more fun to drive!

Another report by Auto Car goes on to say that the Nissan 1.6-liter DIG-T four-cylinder engines are the real source of the power. It allows the Juke Nismo to emit more CO2 than regular comparable engines. All this power goes to the front wheels with its six-speed manual version, while the CVT version on the non-RS Nismo is FWD.

Inside, the interior is a mix of simplicity, quality, and a strong sense of purpose. The cockpit is distinctively appealing, and the darker trim adds to the visual appeal. The steering wheel the special suede sports seats, and the new tech features all add to the car's appeal.

The Nissan Juke NISMO and NISMO RS truly set the Juke apart. Can we expect Toyota to release a TRD C-HR in the future? That remains to be seen. In the meantime, the Nismo Jukes remain to be the top pick for sporty compact crossovers. It has the Mini Cooper Countryman and Paceman as its top competitors.
