Geneva Motor Show 2017: Renault Zoe e-Sport Concept, Electric Hatchback, Aggressive Formula E-based Performance

The Renault Zoe is a subcompact hatchback and an electric car e-sport concept. The European automaker revealed at the Geneva Auto Show that the Renault Zoe e-Sport Concept supercar would set an electric hatchback in a different way.

The e-Sport Concept based on the Formula E that provides better performance and more aggressive look. The body of the supercar is entirely made of carbon fiber, which gives Renault Zoe the credibility as the family-friendly base car and a highest-performance race car, as noted by Green Car Reports.

The carbon-fiber thick material adds up to the entire car's weight of just 1,400 kilograms. It gives the curb weight down to 3,086 pounds, including the 990-pound battery pack. The Renault Zoe e-Sport Concept offers a  streaking to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.2 seconds.

According to Top Gear, the e-Sport gained significant powertrain from a Formula E with 456 hp and 350 Nm of torque. It offers a zero to 62 mph time in 3.2 seconds. It highlights greater stability at higher speeds. It is also bonafide electric sports car with an excellent enhanced system.

The Renault Zoe highlights its standard all-wheel drive. It also comes with a set of four-way adjustable Ohlins dampers, which perfectly works with double-wishbone suspension. The electric sports car is entirely an entire output of the combination of a racing car and a production model.

The Director of Concept Cars Design, Stéphane Janin, revealed that the Renault ZOE e-Sport Concept owns some visible performance enhancements. The sedan has bright blue paintwork with black trim and yellow accents, which pointing out similar looks Formula E racer.

The top speed is said to be limited to 130 mph. However, it will totally give the E-sport better aerodynamic aids. Aside from the Zoe, Renault has several lineups of all-electric models, which includes the small delivery van Kangoo ZE, and a two-seat low-speed electric car Twizy.

Although, many speculated that it would remain just a concept, just like KERS-equipped Twizy F1 and Twingo TwinRun. The Renault ZOE e-Sport Concept is expected to be developed, and it will be one of the best hatches in the world.
