Xbox One users have been kept busy in the past weeks with successive releases of new games to add to their 2017 completed official Backwards Compatibility program list. These additions closely followed the announcement of the set date of Conan Exiles availability on the console this summer.

According to Express, Xbox One owners can now play Cars 2: The Video Game, Dead Rising 2: Case West, Dead Rising 2: Case Zero and Meet the Robinsons. These games add to over 330 games now available through BC. This program is consistently updated through Games with Gold.

Not limited to BC additions, Xbox 360 games are steadily streaming through the Games with Gold program. Borderlands 2, for example, is now free to download on Xbox One as part of the program line-up. For old disc owners, the game is accessible plug-and-play style while digital versions are downloadable from the dashboard.

Meanwhile, reports from the Daily Star claim that considering the availability of four Xbox 360 Call of Duty Games (Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops, and Call of Duty: World at War) on Xbox One, the most-requested Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 might just be around the corner.

In addition to the stream of game additions to Xbox One BC, Conan Exiles is expected to join the 2017 line-up of Xbox One games. The hit open-world survival game has sold over 400,000 copies on the PC version. Originally announced to be available in Spring 2017, the expected big release on Xbox is now anticipated in the third quarter of the year due to financial constraints as confirmed by Funcom. Even with the delay, this is still a year ahead compared to the availability to PS4 users not to be seen until 2018.

For this spring, Xbox Games Pass, as announced will entail subscribers to unlimited access to over 100 Xbox One and Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibility games. For £7.99 a month (UK), Halo 5: Guardians, Payday 2, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Mad Max, Terraria and Fable 3 are available for Xbox One subscribers.

These announcements predict a desirable outlook for Microsoft's 2017 games line-up. Comparably, while PS4 released big exclusives Horizon Zero Dawn and Galaxy Rush 2, Xbox has Halo Wars 2 in its corner. Even with another upcoming PS4 exclusive Nier Automata, Xbox One's headstart on both well-loved classics and new hit games give the console a considerable edge.
