2017 Geneva Motor Show Preview: When, How Much, & What To Expect; Details Here!

We will soon feast on the most anticipated luxury and exotic supercars and more once the doors of the 2017 Geneva Motor Show opens finally on March 7. Automakers will be bringing their A-game to Geneva's Palexpo next week. Before then, let's take a preview of what to expect during the show.

It has been confirmed that a total of 148 world or European premiers will take part in the show, according to Motor Authority. Also, there will be more than 180 exhibitors at the show debuting their lineup and a few others to surprise us.

So, before the show officially opens, we have listed down by category the vehicles that will grace the covers of the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. Although remember that there will still be a whole of surprises in store for us, so stay tuned.

Luxury cars. First off in the luxury segment is the Swedish automaker's baby, the Volvo XC60. The automaker noted that this will usher in a new era and evolution in Volvo's interior design.

It seems Mercedes' family will be complete at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The Mercedes-AMG E63 S Wagon will be is joined by Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet and Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet. Plus, a new AMG concept, reportedly the GT4, is set to make its debut at the show.

Porsche wouldn't miss out on such an occasion as its Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid will be the future. And then you have the Land Rover Range Rover Velar, Lexus LS 500h, and BMW 5-Series Touring.

Performance cars. If you haven't heard of Vanda Dendrobium before, then this is one of the new brands set to take the stage at the show. This Singaporean brand promises an electric supercar that was developed in partnership with Williams Advanced Engineering.

Italdesign Automobili Speciali Special Car is the first brain child of the new division of Italdesign. Pagani Huayra Roadster, Ford Fiesta ST, and McLaren 650S replacement are the other names to look out for. Also, don't forget the familiar ones as they are hell bent on joining the fun at the convention: Ferrari 812 Superfast and Lamborghini Aventador S.

AutoGuide reports that Volkswagen Arteon the automaker's most expensive sedan offering. Other names that will showcase their year-long, or more, of hard work and creativity, include Suzuki Swift, Toyota Yaris GRMN, Alpine A110, Aston Martin Vanquish S, Citroen C-Aircross, Jaguar XF Sportbrake, Kia Picanto, Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer, and more.

The Geneva Motor Show has been one of the biggest events in European automotive, which is held annually every March. It officially opens its doors to the public from 9 am to 7 pm (CET, which is an hour ahead of Greenwich Meantime).

The show allows automakers the opportunity to showcase and unveil their latest creation and, as for the audience, a chance to marvel at the best of the best and exciting ones. Entry to the show costs 16 Swiss francs for adults and 9 for children 6 to 16 years old, pensioners, and persons with disability. But when buying for a group of 20 people, it only costs 11 Swiss francs.
