Neill and Ian Briggs, the creators of BAC shared theirs intends to create a hybrid hypercar that will surpass big rivals such as the McLaren P1, LaFerrari, and Porsche 918 Spyder. The company's latest renders, the BAC Mono is one of the track cars available in the market, and the company's goal is to make more competitive in the upcoming successor.
The hypercar planned will be a two-seater, closed cockpit which is very different to the roofless mono the company has today. Regarding price, the hypercar is said to cost around $1.2 million earning its spot in the hypercar territory. According to Car Buzz, the "BAC has already been planning for the future, and has assembled an advisory board of Mono owners and potential customers."
The company understands that most of the clients who will be interested in the upcoming hypercar own either a P1 or 918. In a statement by Neil Briggs to Wilton Classic and Supercar, the company knows that the plan will face particular risk especially on penetrating the market or sales in general.
Apparently, plans are coming on BAC's way to strengthen the brand further. The company also intend to build a new Mono, this time with an alternative powertrain which could land into an all-electric vehicle with combined single seater thrills that brings exceptional performance. "Think Formula E rather than F1 hybrid tech," said Neill.
The company's projects are still in its early stages even though BAC proves to rival McLaren, Ferrari, and Porsche. BAC understands the difference regarding budget with its competitors, and the company does not have the resources to step on the pedal ahead. The company targets exclusive end of the market to generate resources, and by that time it rolls out, big business will surely have a strong competitor in the market. But, the question is, would it be too late knowing that the lights of Aston Martin AM-RB 001, and Mercedes-Benz Project One are set to redefine the hypercar market.
