The 2017 Volkswagen e-Golf has been upgraded. Volkswagen has ensured that a single charge will take the car on a ride of 125 miles. Volkswagen worked on the upgrade after BMW upgraded single-charge range of its i3 to 114 miles from 81 miles in 2016.

This news comes at the right time as the 2017 e-Golf is set to hit the markets this spring. The car is able to deliver up to 134 horsepower from 115. It can be said that the new version provides more torque from the previous variant. Hence, we can say that the car can speed up from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than 10 seconds, reported Auto Blog.

The 2017 version of the car will see a huge increase in the range that it gets from a single charge. This is confirmed by US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA.) The 125 miles is a 51-percent increase over the 83-mile range of the previous variant. The good news is that the range that the vehicle actually provides is one mile more than what VW promised. It has promised 124 miles initially.

The 2017 Volkswagen e-Golf is also styled up a bit than the predecessor. The car is also equipped with fast-charging and it will make sure that the vehicle is charged up to 80 percent in about an hour. This is much better than what the previous version of the car offered, reported Car and Driver.

It is expected that the upgrade will pull in customers and give some market advantage soon. The price of the 2017 Volkswagen e-Golf has not been revealed as of now. In 2016, VW sold 3,395 units of the e-Golf. This is a 17-percent drop from 2015. It is expected that the upgrade will help the model increase the sales in 2017. The evolution of 2017 Volkswagen e-Golf also marks that customers are looking for more environment-friendly options now.
