"Resident Evil 7" has been focusing on new locations and new characters. However, it does seem that the franchise is giving the fans something to be happy about. It is bringing back a character who is everyone's favorite.

Capcom is set to make things more interesting by bringing back Chris Redfield. It is a known fact that the character has a lot of fan following him.

There are many players who have had a taste of "Resident Evil 7" already. The game does not take many hours to play. So, the gamers already know that Chris appears as a cameo in the game, reported Game Rant.

The appearance is made just before the end of the main campaign. Many people were not sure if it was the original Chris Redfield or not. This is because the character introduces himself as Redfield. This added on to further confusion.

It is still unclear what the intentions of Redfield are in the installment. As of now, it is not clear what he is actually chasing. There are many details regarding this that have to be revealed through the 'Not A Hero DLC.'

To add on to the doubt, there is this association with Umbrella that cannot be ignored. Also, the appearance is not similar to the previous two installments of the franchise. Many rumors have started spinning around this, reported PC Gamer.

For the uninitiated, Chris Redfield is one of the oldest characters of the franchise. The character was first introduced as a special ops agent in the original Resident Evil game. He was a playable protagonist.

It does seem that the Redfield who is set to play a cameo in the upcoming title is Chris himself. However, things can be confirmed only after the game makes it official. Resident Evil 7 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
