Ford Performance has been winning Daytona 500 races for the past nine years and Kurt Busch just grabbed its fifth last 2017 Daytona 500 over the weekend. Although the race ended with several vehicles crashing amongst each other, Busche's victory was a dramatic one at the Daytona International Speedway.

Earlier this year, NASCAR announced a modified format that the drivers in 2017 Daytona 500 will follow. The race was split into three segments which were a new feature of the race. However, the changes did not stop Kurt Busch to end the race with a bang.

As reported by Ford Media, Ford Performance team had several drivers on the lead and Busch swiftly passed Kyle Larson during the final lap which garnered him the win for 59th 2017 Daytona 500. In fact, it was considered as the end of a triumphant debut for Stewart-Hass Racing after they decided to run with the Ford banner since 2016. According to Raj Najir, the executive vice president of global product development and chief technical officer of the company, Busch's win was a great start of a partnership between his team and Ford. In fact, the teamwork was astonishing that the drivers were able to complete the race by riding faster than usual.

The team was not expecting that they would win the race when Busch was caught up in the crash during the final round. However, the driver did not give up and continued on with the race. That led to his 29th career Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series victory and his 15th with Ford Performance since 2000's Rousch Fenway Racing.

In other news, CBS Sports reported that the Busch had to come up short before when he was tallying five top-fives and his car was completely destroyed. However, the strategy for the 2017 Daytona 500 race of the team was to know when they would pit and who would know what needed to be done. Judging by Busch's instinct to throw caution to the wind and drive his heart out to the finish, proved that the Ford Performance team much deserved the championship cup.

The 2017 Daytona 500 crowned Kurt Busch of Ford Performance as the ultimate winner of the race. Although he almost lost his drive during the crash in the last round, the racer was able to prove that he is a champion when he stuck to his instinct and made his car trip despite the circumstances.
