2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class: Updated Model Spy Shots Released, To Be Fitted With New Gen Engines

Mercedes-Benz is all set to give a new gleam to the good old C-Class. A few tweaks are given on the interior and the exterior of the car to make it more desirable.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class was introduced in the year 2015. The car, having reached the midpoint of its life cycle, is being treated by Mercedes to update it by a tad. Going by the history of the automaker, the 2019 model year will see an updated version of the car.

Few prototypes of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class are spotted. Through the pictures taken it was clear that there were tweaks that are made to the overall design of the small sedan, reported Motor Authority.

The center console of the car sports a new touchpad controller. This is different from the rotary dial that is generally used in most Mercedes vehicles. The car also got a new steering wheel which is equipped with various controls.

The exterior of the car has been touched upon as there were new bumpers spotted. Also, it appeared as though the internals of the lights is also changed a bit.

The Mercedes C-Class is all set to use the automaker's next generation engine and replace the older one. The new Mercedes engine is synonymous with efficiency. It is to feature a modular design. The engine will have 6-cylinder units moving to an inline design instead of the current V-6 design utilized by Mercedes.

There are various improvements that are made to the engine of the car. A single electric motor is to replace the starter motor and alternator. This is expected to boost the performance of the car, reported Auto Guide.

The car originally has an analog instrument cluster. There is a Mercedes-Benz C-Class that was seen which sported the same digital cluster that the other models like the E-Class has. However, in the updated version of the car, there might be a digital upgrade. Or maybe, the upgraded version will give a choice between analog and digital for the customers.
