The new permit rules might come as a hit down on Niantic and "Pokemon Go." According to reports, the new law would affect the game as it could get blocked off in few places in the U.S. It was said that Niantic might be forced to pay to make it available in Milwaukee County Parks.
The new permit laws came up with an ordinance that required all virtual and AR games based on locations to apply for permits before they conduct virtual business. It is also stated that the company might face legal action in case they fail to comply with the same. This new law could change a lot of things about the game as gamers are attracted to this as they were able to play "Pokemon Go" on the go, reported Express.
It is reported that the permitting application process will include an internal review by the DPRC. They will review if the game and the site selection is appropriate and whether it will ensure personal safety while protecting rare flora and fauna. Also, it is stated that the game can be played during standard park hours unless it is authorized by the DPRC Director, reported News Explored.
It seems to have a very small effect as it would not affect the players outside the US state. However, there could be ripple effects and it will be a matter of concern for Niantic if other places also start following the same rule.
While this came as bitter news for Niantic as well as "Pokemon Go" fans, there was another news that created a lot of excitement among gamers. 80 new Gen 2 Pokemon are reported to be a part of the game's new update. However, the players will be able to catch the new 80 Pokemon only during the park hours, if the ordinance is implemented.
