The F50 launched back in 1995 is a celebratory piece for the 50th anniversary of the company Ferrari. There are 349 F50 units made worldwide throughout its course, and 50 units made it to the US making this supercar one of the rarest piece to finding nowadays. High profiled celebrities and multi-billionaire businesspeople are the ones who most likely possess this collectible supercar, just like Mike Tyson.

The famous heavyweight boxing champion auctions his rare-to-find Ferrari F50 at the RM Sotheby's Amelia Island auction. Tyson's F50 is the finest example ever find. With only 5,694 miles on the clock, the F50 is still in superb condition. According to Car Buzz, Tyson's F50 has never been driven hard making it intact and in perfect shape.

The F50 in auctioned includes a partial service history, and owner's manuals and accessories which grant official Ferrari Classiche Certification of Authenticity. It is also fitted with Tubi exhaust, thus, allowing 4.7-liter of V12 to produce brisker performance and sweeter exhaust notes.

The RM Sotheby's estimates Tyson's F50 in about $2.3 million making it the most expensive examples ever sold. To recall, Eric Clapton's Ferrari F40 was sold for $1.1 million. There is no clear reason why Mike Tyson auctions his F50.

The Ferrari F50 was the closest thing to a road-going Formula 1 car the company has ever built. The F50's dynamic and purist approach to achieve high performance allow the supercar to be free of power steering; power assisted braking and ABS. The F50 was made to deliver extensive use of sophisticated composite materials F1-style construction technology and aerodynamics. An F40 successor, the F50 was Ferrari's ultimate machine of the nineties. A rare and perfect collectible piece is a certain win-win situation to whoever gets the sold in RM Sotheby's auction.
