For Jaguar, 2018 is the year for high performance and super engines. The automaker was in the process of upgrading the engines so as to improve the performance of the vehicles.

It is reported that the automaker has upgraded its Ingenium gas engine. Jaguar now offers the turbo-four in the XF and F-Pace. It did not stop there. The power of the 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 engine is hiked and is made available in the XE S, XF S, and F-Pace S.

This is possible after Jaguar upgraded the gasoline engine to a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. The technology uses twin-scroll turbos. It also boasts of Continuously Variable Valve Lift technology, electro-hydraulic valve control, variable intake valve lift and direct injection. The exhaust manifold of the vehicle is integrated with the cylinder head casting, reported Motor Trend.

At the same time, the Jaguar XE S is fitted with a newly tuned 3.0-liter V-6. This gives the vehicle a little more push and pumps out an extra 40 hp. After the changes are made, the Jaguar XE S now pumps out 380 hp from the previous 340 hp.

The 40 hp that has increased gives the vehicle a new boost. It is said to be giving a better performance throughout the rev range. The XE S will be priced at $53,270, while the XF S costs around $64,860. The cost of F-Pace S begins at $60,770, reported The Drive.

It is reported that the 2018 Jaguar models with the revised engines will be available for sale through the dealers from May.
