Nintendo Switch Recent Leaks Suggest: Internal Storage Accessibility Max of 25.9GB, And Interesting NVIDIA Chip With Embossed NX

Recently, an unboxing video of Nintendo Switch surfaces the internet by storm. The said video revealed information that every avid fan been wanting to see. Today, series of leaks pop out including the Switch innards setup and total accessibility. Although it is pretty much familiar to everyone, it is still interesting to see how Nintendo Switch is setup.

Before proceeding with the latest leaks, remember that unboxing video for Nintendo Switch? It appears that the console ordered and posted by "hiphoptherobot" was actually stolen by an employee of the U.S distributor and was illegally sold. According to Nintendo Life, the individuals responsible for the said action is under investigation, and hiphoptherobot has returned the console to Nintendo. Here is Nintendo's response via IGN.

"Earlier this week, individuals claimed to prematurely purchase a small number of Nintendo Switch systems from an unspecified retailer. Nintendo has determined these units were stolen in an isolated incident by employees of a U.S. distributor, with one system being illegally resold. The individuals involved have been identified, terminated from their place of employment and are under investigation by local law enforcement authorities on criminal charges. Nintendo Switch will launch worldwide on March 3, 2017, and we look forward to everyone being able to discover the wonders of the new system for themselves at that time."

So going back to the topic, interested buyers of Nintendo Switch can only access a total of 25.9 GB of the Switch's internal storage. The remaining 6.1 GB of storage will be used for OS and other files. Since the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild runs at a total of 13.4GB, a memory card is essential to optimize the hybrid console.

Also, the leaks revealed a very interesting part in the Nintendo Switch innards. The NVIDIA chip inside the Nintendo Switch appeared embossed with the codename NX. The same source suggests the chipset used in the 2017 NVIDIA Shield TV is not the exact same chip used in the Switch, but both appeared to be the second iteration of the Tegra X1 technology.
