The Toronto Auto Show apparently just doesn't feature the best automotive vehicles. Currently on display is a 2017 Bugatti Chiron that is worth a whopping US$3.4 million.

The 2017 Bugatti Chiron at the Toronto Auto Show. The Chiron was originally a concept car back in 1999. It was named in honor of the late race car driver Louis Chiron. Concept cars are usually exaggerated versions of future production vehicles. This car, however, is overtly ridiculous in terms of performance and, as you may already know, price.

The Chiron is 1500-horsepower luxury vehicle thanks to an 8.0-liter W-16 engine. It can go from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in less than 2.5 seconds. It can get to 300 kilometers from a standstill in 13.6 seconds. The carbon fiber Chiron specially developed wheels by Michelin to help handle its massive power.

The Chiron is a purely hand-built vehicle by a team of 20 and comprised of over 1,800 parts. It takes about six months to manufacture and deliver one vehicle.

Bugatti mission is for the Chiron to appeal to the rich and leave them in awe. It does so by using impressive horsepower through cutting edge automotive technology and on a four-wheel drive system. One filthy rich buyer is Saudi Prince Badr bin Saud who recently posted to his Instagram a picture of his own 2017 Bugatti Chiron.

The French high-performance luxury car manufacturer plans to put only 500 Chirons on the market with 30 percent of that number going to the United States. Bugatti hopes to finish building 70 units before this year ends. It is looking to deliver the first batch of the vehicles by the end of March.

Although the Chiron is considered the highlight of the Toronto Auto Show, it is not the only worth more than a million dollars. There are 15 other supercars on display including a Ferrari 365 GTB4 Daytona, a 1965 Shelby 289 Cobra, and a 1951 GM Le Sabre Concept car.
