The Crash Bandicoot games are set in the fictitious Wumpa Islands which is an archipelago south of Australia. The games are named after the protagonist who is an anthropomorphic bandicoot. They revolve around Crash battling antagonist Doctor Neo Cortex who created the hero but now wants him dead.
