Pagani, the Italian supercar maker, says "Ciao!" to Geneva Motor Show with their latest creation, the £2 Million Huayra Roadster. The latest Pagani flagship will generate more G-force man has ever seen using road tires. Here's what Pagani detailed their latest car creation.
The Pagani Huayra Roadster has the highest lateral acceleration using road tires with 1.8G corner and grip. The Roadster is also acclaimed as the first convertible to weigh less compared to its predecessors at 1,218 kg.
Pagani's latest creation will be a mixture of carbon fiber and titanium, thus dubbed as Carbo-Titanium. Pagani described this design as the most advanced materials used in any Formula One cars. The carbon materials used in Huayra Roadster is 52% stiffer compare to any natural carbon despite its weight similarities. Pagani also invented a new material called HiFrog (a forged aluminum alloy) used in the Roadster's suspension.
Regarding the engine, Pagani makes use the same engine as Mercedes which is AMG M158 engine. This engine is a purpose-built 6.0 liter V12 twin-turbo producing. The power runs at 764 horsepower with a seven-speed sequential gearbox at the rear wheels. In comparison to its hypercar rivals, Pagani does not incorporate the hybrid electric system in the Roadster. About the car's top speed, details are not yet confirmed. But, according to IB Times, the Roaster is expected to achieve a 2.8 sprint and 230 mph and above maximum speed.
Company Founder, Horacio Pagani detailed how the Huayra Roadster differentiates from the coupe. Pagani stated, "If we think of the Huayra Coupe as a personification of elegance and timeless lines, the Huayra Roadster was to be the rebellious sister, shapely and beautiful, but with a sharp edge for those who are careless."
