2018 Range Rover Sport plug-in carries a different styling from its gas-only sibling. Spy photos are now circulating revealing the changes in the design of the new hybrid.

The upcoming Range Rover Sport plug-in has been spotted while undergoing test drive in northern Sweden recently. The camouflaged prototype gave out several leaks on the design of the new hybrid car.

The interiors were concealed in the spotted prototype. Interiors are not usually covered when a prototype goes out for a test drive. This concealing of the interiors seems to suggest that something new is hiding behind the covers.

Furthermore, the section from the front windshield to the rear seat headrests was also concealed. Car enthusiasts will most likely see some variations on this portion too when the new hybrid unveils its final product.

In addition, two new features in the design of the Range Rover Sport plug-in were spotted in the prototype. The new hybrid has different headlights and bumpers compared to the regular Range Rover Sport, AutoGuide reported.

According to the spies of CarBuzz, the new hybrid car is expected to sport a four-cylinder gas engine, based on the spied prototype. This new discovery will now debunk theories that the upcoming Range Rover Sport plug-in will have a 3.0-liter diesel V6 engine.

Meanwhile, another previous speculation, that the new hybrid will not likely hit the roads of America, seems to be replaced with a new theory. The publication now speculates that the upcoming Range Rover Sport plug-in will most likely head to the US. It was noted that Americans are fond of hybrid cars, especially SUV types.

In another report, there might be truth to the new speculation that the upcoming Range Sport hybrid will be sold in the US. TheQTimes mentioned that the hybrid prototype was also spotted in the US.

Moreover, the report shared something new was noticed on the new hybrid. According to the report, the prototype spotted in the US appears to have a loading hatch placed in the front grille.
