iOS 11 may soon be released this year, following the trend that Apple follows in terms of launching new versions of its operating system. Since the reported launch may soon happen, many have expressed their desire to see a better and improved operating system, packed with features that may not be available in the current iOS 10.

According to Forbes, the launch of iOS 11 is expected to be this September 2017. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the iPhone which is then tantamount to saying that a better operating system should go hand in hand with it. Apple may be robust in coming up with their anniversary edition, which well may be called the iPhone 8 so a better operating system should also be in place in time for the release of the new phone.

There were a good number of speculations revolving around the new features of iOS 11 which may be derived from users' desire to have more features compared to their current operating system. Group Face Time Calls is one of features rumored to be part of the updated operating system. Since many users prefer FaceTime for video chat, it is high-time for it to come with group calling capabilities like that of Skype, Facebook Messenger and the likes.

Another noteworthy speculation is the new Apple OS to have new contact features. Apple may add options to see text messages, emails and social media interactions a user had with Contacts in one window. This should make it convenient for users if such feature is added.

A better voice mail transcription feature is also one to be updated. This feature is currently part of iOS 10 and is well received by Apple users. A better, more accurate version of this feature should be available in iOS 11 upon its release.

As added by Mac World, even UK users are also on their toes, waiting for the official launch of iOS 11. It is reported that the updated Apple OS is almost certainly going to be unveiled in June 2017 at WWDC which is annual event hosted by Apple. Apple takes advantage of inviting developers from all over the world to be part of iOS development workshops for the annual software update.
