Peugeot 3008 features a sleek design that combines robustness with elegance. The robustness continues with its raised ride height strong shoulder line and horizontal bonnet, while the stylish chrome wing and stainless steel roof arch trim emphasize its fluid and dynamic lines.

What Car reported that the new Peugeot 3008 can be equipped with both diesel and petrol engine. The 1.2-liter, 128 horsepower petrol engine might look too small to pull the 3008, but on the contrary, it is eager to rev. This engine is available with six-speed manual or an automatic gearbox, but the more powerful 163 horsepower 1.6-liter petrol is available as an automatic only. The 1.6-liter diesel engine comes with either 99 horsepower or 118 horsepower output. There are also two 2.0-liter diesel engines that come in outputs of 148 horsepower with manual transmission, and 178 horsepower with automatic transmission. All Peugeot 3008 models come with one suspension set-up.

The ride is not soft like on some other SUVs, but it does take the edge off ridges. The steering is quite average, but it offers a reasonable steering weight, that gives the driver confidence as he sweeps the car through turns. On the inside, all Peugeot 3008 versions come with a height-adjustable driver’s seat and adjustable steering wheel. The dial instruments are high up on the dashboards with a smell steering wheel below. Most of the controls are positioned within driver’s reach. All versions get a DAB radio, Bluetooth, and a digital instrument display. They also come with an 8.0-inch touchscreen that is positioned high up on the dashboard. There is plenty of head and leg room in both the front and the rear.

Europe AutoNews reported that Peugeot delayed 5008 model in order to protect the output of its strong selling 3008 model. Another factor is that the 5008 SUV doesn’t generate higher margins than the 3008. Peugeot doesn’t want to divert components to a vehicle that has not entered the market yet.
