The German automobile manufacturer never fails to offer an own line of the small compact family car. This year, they've introduced the 2017 Volkswagen Jetta. It is said to have a lavish space on its interior and also comes with some of the company's  powerful engines.

Volkswagen has a taste when it comes to technology which is also visible on other vehicles. The Jetta has two different sizes touchscreens available, aside from that, it also comes with an Apple CarPlay and a smartphone integration with own connectivity services with convenience.

For the wired connection, the car has a USB port installed. In addition, it comes with an audio system that can play FLAC-type music files. Everything on its interface is sharp, easy, and comfortable to use.

2017 Volkswagen Jetta is available in four levels of trim, the S, SE, SEL, and GLI. The front-wheel-drive vehicle also offers a three variation of engines. For the S and SE, it comes with a 1.4 liter four cylinder turbocharged engine that runs over 150 horsepower with a torque of 184 lb-ft. It's matched with a manual transmission in five-speed or a six-speed automatic which is optional.

The provided EPA fuel economy record for automatic is 28 mpg in the city, 38 mpg on the highway and a combined of 32 mpg. For the manual, it has an estimated 28 in the city, 40 mpg on the highway, and a combined of 33 mpg.

As for the SEL, it comes with a 1.8 liter four cylinder turbocharged engine that has a total horsepower of 170 and a torque of 184 lb-ft. This engine is matched only with a six-speed automatic transmission with an EPA fuel economy estimation of 25 mpg in the city, 35 mpg on the highway, and a combined of 29 mpg.

The GLI, on the other hand, is equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder that can go up to 210 horsepower and a 207 lb-ft of torque. Its manual six-speed transmission is standard while the six-speed automatic dual-clutch is optional. Its fuel economy estimated by EPA is 24 mpg in the city, 33 in the highway, and a combined of 27 mpg.

These are the options that buyers can choose for the 2017 Volkswagen Jetta. It may lack some of the criteria on the list, but it is still a great choice for a family car.
