The 2018 Ford Mustang is coming to the 2017 Chicago Auto Show. Expect it to be more powerful, offer more tech features, and have revised styling.

The battle of the American pony muscle cars is very fierce this year. The new Chevrolet Camaro looks promising and Dodge has its Challenger and Charger to look out for.

The latest Mustang looks to be one of the top contenders. Motor Authority notes that the Ford muscle car's most obvious update can be seen in the front. The car looks menacing and fierce, has sharper headlights, and the new intakes brace the lower portions of the front bumper. Additionally, its rear has a new quad exhaust setup for the V8-powered Ford Mustang GT.

Cockpit and Tech. Inside, the cockpit still looks familiar but it has some new updates with a big new gauge cluster. Moreover, the all-digital display spans a whole foot of space right in front of the driver. The new gauge cluster is optimized to change on whichever driving mode is selected to show the most relevant information.

Cabin and Interior. The cabin also sports more premium materials and fresh patterns. The key fob has even gotten an update. The quality has really been upped overall.

Engines. Under the new Mustang's hood is a 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-4. The previous V6's have been retired. Additionally, there will also be a 5.0-liter V8 option that is reworked with direct injection and a higher redline.

Transmission. Auto Guide adds that the muscle car's transmissions will feature a refined six-ration manual which has gained a new dual-mass flywheel and a twin-disc clutch for the GT models. There is also a 10-speed automatic which has the largest gearbox, which is expected to improve both performance and efficiency.

The 2018 Ford Mustang is sure to turn heads at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show. Its new design, its more powerful engines, the updated interior, and its state of the art tech features will surely make it one of the top muscle car contenders.
