NBA Trade Rumors: Anthony, Thompson and Butler No Definite Deal Amidst NBA Trade Deadline

Rumors have been circulating about the New York Knicks trading Carmelo Anthony. Well, that is somehow expected considering the way Knicks President Phil Jackson has been addressing Anthony in the media interviews and on his cryptic Twitter tweets.

Knicks is trading Anthony if not for the No-trade clause deal the had with him last 2014. It made it harder for them to close a deal with the other teams.

Some NBA critics commented that it was a wrong move for the Knicks since then. It also looks like Phil Jackson is no longer in sync with Anthony according to Sporting News.

There were speculations that Jacksons' latest tweets were pertaining to Anthony being uncoachable. The question is how will these indirect comments affect Anthony's career now that Fox Sports reported that the Knicks are still shopping everywhere to get a good deal for Carmelo Anthony.

Aside from the Cavaliers who were reportedly not interested with Anthony,  the Knicks are also talking to the Clippers and Celtics for the trade. This is all happening despite Melo's reaffirmation of his loyalty to the Knicks and Phil Jackson's stance of non-involvement.

Meanwhile, Chicago Bulls is open for a trade deal for Jimmy Butler. The funny thing is Butler is even looking forward to a reunion with Anthony, his fellow Olympian if ever he'll be joining Chicago soon. But it looks like Butler will be traded off, too. So, the reunion might happen off the court.

The bulls are reportedly talking with the Celtics about a deal and they seem interested. Butler is the heart and soul of the Bulls this season and he was once called the emerging hero of the Bulls, will the really let Jimmy Buckets go?

Another big surprise this year is the reported trade of Klay Thompson. Some NBA fans were dismayed that Golden States Superstar Thompson might get a deal with the Boston Celtics. If it happens it will be considered as one major of the major deal in the NBA trade.

Klay was in a shooting slump in the beginning of the season and maybe is being cramped by the playing style of Kevin Durant. NBA fans are a bit cynical about this issue since Klay has already recovered and is averaging 23 points in its last 4 games. Likewise, it is unthinkable for the Warriors to trade Klay because of a 6 game shooting slump wherein he averaged 16 points.
