Mercedes-Benz Maybach G650 tried to make an early debut via teaser photo but unfortunately was mistaken for another identity. New video and photos now prove the new Maybach owns the teased photo.

The photo of the latest Mercedes-Benz that the German automaker teased through its official Twitter account was speculated to be the AMG 4x4 G65. Apparently, the truth has unveiled itself and clarified that the vehicle on the photo is actually the upcoming Maybach G650.

As the Twitter post caption says, it became a "surprise" indeed when the photo circulated the web. The post was actually mistaken to refer to the AMG G65 because part of the caption mentions "G 63 AMG 6x6."

Moving forward, a new leak clarifies the speculations on the teased photo. Automailru, a journalist who was given an early access to the upcoming Mercedes-Benz Maybach G650, took to his official Instagram account a walk-around video showcasing the new SUV.

Unlike the teaser photo released by Mercedes-Benz, where only half rear portion can be seen, the new video now presents the whole SUV. In the clip, the same features from the photo can be spotted in the SUV in focus, except for the body color which was metallic teal from the photo and now white in the video.

The clip confirms the new SUV being teased is the Maybach G650 because one part of the clip reveals that the SUV has the Maybach badge. This suggests that the new SUV will have twin-turbocharged V12 engine. This is further confirmed in the Instagram post as it also contains the hashtag V12.

Furthermore, fly-wheel posted more photos of the upcoming SUV, providing an up-close view. One photo shows that the rear part of the cabin looks separated from the front. In addition, two individual seats can be spotted at the rear portion, as well as a console in the middle of the Maybach G650.
