Following the successful launch of the original Vengeance at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, this year will see Kahn Design debut a new convertible variant, the Vengeance Volante. "Creating a convertible version of the Vengeance posed some challenges, given the unique coach built nature of the vehicle, but we’ve overcome them in true British fashion. Following a detailed programme of testing, I’m delighted to be able to unveil the Vengeance Volante at this year’s show, and I’m confident it will receive the same enthusiastic reception as the original model did in 2016.” – Afzal Kahn @afzalkahn _______________________________________________________ #AstonMartin #AstonMartinVantage #Kahn #Kahndesign #kahnautomobiles #projectkahn #afzalkahn #custom #customcar #aston_martin #astonmartinracing #astonmartinsgalore #astonmartinclub #cars #carsi #majestic_cars #carsofinstagram #carstagram #amazingcars247 #instacar #instacars #carswithoutlimits #carspotter #carspotting #racecar #nofilterneeded #need #genva

The teaser photo confirms the new supercar is a convertible as it was shown without a roof. The photo also shows a similar roulette-like allow wheels and the conventional rounded taillights.

Apparently, Kahn has encountered some challenges with the upcoming supercar. Kahn's boss Afzal Kahn admitted that the new convertible model of the Vengeance created some difficulty because of its "unique coach built nature." However, the British design house was able to successfully manage the adversities.

Kahn further details that the upcoming WB12 Vengeance Volante got its design inspiration from the authentic Aston Martin Vanquish, despite its DB9 underpinnings. Aside from the Aston Martin Vanquish design, the new convertible also has a mix design of Astons from the versions of the 1980s and 1990s.

Kahn also confirmed that the 510bhp 6.0-liter V12 engine will still be retained in the new convertible. It was also noted that it will require 200 hours to coach build each prototype, Auto Express reported.

In another report, it was detailed that the convertible roofing is able to go down within 17 seconds. Autoevolution also notes that the new supercar offers 197 liters of trunk capacity and a stance that is wider than the previous DB9.

Furthermore, the Google-translated report of Motor16 says the new WB12 Vengeance Volante is based on the DB9 chassis with the same canvas hood as seen in the electric drive.
