Toyota and Porsche have gained the top spots in the 2017 list of brands with best resale value. Toyota won the "Best Resale Value Brand" award while Porsche picked up the "Best Resale Value Luxury" award.
Kelley Blue Book's Best Resale Value awards are calculated based on its internal projections in residual vehicle values. Considering the output of statistical models, a team of analysts gathers the data to determine the best resale value.
The Best Brand and Best Luxury Brand awards are based on the overall combined resale-value capabilities of the whole line up of vehicles of each brand. The brands who will earn these awards should have satisfied demand for production units and have offered an excellent line up of new models.
