The highly anticipated LG G6 is one of the latest flagships expected to show up at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2017. It seems that the new handset is already excited to make its debut as prior to the press event, an alleged render has already surfaced online. Check out below the features of the upcoming handset.

As previously reported, LG has sent out its invitations for the company's press event to be held on Feb. 26 at the MWC 2017 in Barcelona. The invite design and theme "See More, Play More" tease that a new smartphone is about to debut which points to the successor of LG G5, the LG G6.

Now, it seems that there is truth behind the speculations as an alleged render of the LG G6 has surfaced online. The Verge claims that it has received a copy of the image of the anticipated flagship which is set to show up on February 26.

According to the publication, the acquired image reveals the half upper portion of the latest LG G6. There are several interesting details which can be taken from the leaked photo.

First eye-catcher featured on the image is the antenna bands. It seems that the company is now gearing towards producing devices with antenna bands. The image reveals that antenna bands can be spotted near the top of the smartphone.

Looking at the image, another interesting detail is the shape of the handset. One can spot that the corners of the display are rounded. This appears to be similar with the one in the rumored Samsung Galaxy S8 and in the Xiaomi Mi Mix. The publication also noted that the upcoming LG G6 will have a huge 5.7-inch display.

The report also claims that a source has mentioned that the new flagship will come with full glass and metal housing. The LG G6 will also sport a headphone jack and an irreplaceable battery. In addition, the new smartphone is also anticipated to have the latest waterproofing system.

The leaked render did not show the back part of the handset. However, Ghostek has reported some alleged leaked renders which reveal that the anticipated LG G6 will also carry a fingerprint scanner and a dual camera.

Meanwhile, Forbes reported that the upcoming LG G6 will not sport the latest Snapdragon 835. An industry tipster told the publication that the new handset will feature the Snapdragon 821. The source explained that Samsung has taken an exclusive launch of the Snapdragon 835 which will run on the anticipated Galaxy S8.

Furthermore, the source mentioned that the latest Snapdragon 835 can only be available to other brands once the Galaxy S8 has been launched. The report also revealed that the source confirmed that the anticipated Galaxy S8 is set to debut on April 14 in South Korea.
