2017 Ford Fiesta ST200 Is Considered One Hot Hatch But It Didn't Make It Big In Europe

Ford has been producing good quality cars over the years, however, it has been quite restrictive to how unreasonably it has been priced. In its effort to make their vehicles more available, the 2017 Ford Fiesta ST200 is affordable, but the styling has not been compromised. It is considered as one of the best-looking hatchbacks ever produced by any car manufacturer.

However, it may not be looking up for the 2017 Ford Fiesta ST200 as it almost made it across the Atlantic. Almost. According to Car and Driver, there were serious negotiations about creating a similar version of the US model. Unfortunately, the numbers just didn't equate to success. The numbers were disappointing.

Ford introduced the ST200 in the South of France giving Ford people the chance to drive it over Route Napoleon and up the Col de Vance. This terrain has been used on various rally races and even the Tour de France bicycle race. The ST200 feels predictively punchier than the standard ST. The lower gearing is immediately obvious as well which makes the ST seem to have more urgency.

To shed some good light to the unfortunate reviews that the hatchback has been getting, the shifter action feels better than some purpose-built sports cars. The ST200 also has an entertaining rear bias to its handling balance.

The 2017 Ford Fiesta ST200 also feels more compliant than the ST. With this given, the drivers were able to maintain their speed rather than slow down even in bumpy road conditions. This makes for one smooth ride compared to others. Thanks to its softer springs and dampers which worked extremely well.

As added by Telegraph UK, the 2017 Ford Fiesta is also considered more attractive in the metal. It is considered calmer and easier on the eye. Ford also managed to make the doors and the tailgate bigger and comes with door-edge protectors.

The interior of the Fiesta also looks more comfortable and generally better than the current version. As per its entertainment system, Ford made it easier and less complicated but more attractive in appearance.

The 2017 Ford Fiesta ST200 may not have made it in Europe, however, it is still considered to make the rounds in the U.S. Car manufacturers aim to bring their cars offshore for wider reach but it doesn't work, there is always the American market supportive of its own car brand. Based on reports, the hatchback will be available in dealerships this May.
