Safety is one of the most important factors required for a buyer to purchase a certain car. With so many options to choose from, oftentimes, safety features of a vehicle are the deciding factor. This may be the case of 2017 Acura ILX as it is, in a good number of times considered one of the safest cars in America. However, thanks to its safety features as these are the only reason car enthusiasts and critics rave about.

The 2017 Acura ILX according to US News and World Report belongs to the near bottom of luxury small car rankings. Aside from its safety features, many buyers opt to purchase this vehicle for its cost. It also is reported to have good fuel economy for more savings on gas.

The 2017 Acura features 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine which equates to a total of 201 horsepower and is mated to dual-clutch automatic transmission. This was updated for the 2016 model which made the vehicle better in terms of overall speed and power, however, it just stops there. There's not much thrilling behind the sedan.

Though the vehicle has good dynamics, it also lacks for one comfortable ride. It is unfortunate that the 2017 Acura ILX suspension can't match its handling. The stiff suspension translates to a poor and uncomfortable ride for someone who uses the car on a daily basis. The car shakes violently when going through humps and road potholes. This is definitely a let-down as not all roads are smooth as silk.

There is also little room for luxury inside the car. The overall appearance of the interior is downright plain. Some of the plastic surfaces are hard to touch which hinders the Acura for having the luxury feel.

As added by The Car Connection, the 2017 Acura ILX, however, boasts with superb safety features! It may not be the best option for luxury feel and power but one is sure that it is absolutely safe. It did have good scores on all of the tests, including that of a difficult small-overlap crash.

The Acura's suite of advanced safety features was also given Superior by the IIHS, the same agency that gave them Good for the crash test as earlier reported. This earned the 2017 Acura ILX a Top Safety Pick+ award by the agency.

Sure, the 2017 Acura ILX may not be the best option around, but for buyers who are keen on safety, this makes for a good vehicle choice. What it lacks on look and appeal can actually save lives of its owners, which at the end of the day is the most valuable!
