The 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe is a great choice for a crossover SUV. It has a powerful engine, comfortable interior, and a stylish exterior.

Pros and Features. The SUV's strong V6 engine is quick to accelerate. It also has plenty of standard features for its cost.

In addition, its interior has a classy design and easy-to-use technology interfaces. The Santa Fe's warranty coverage is also very generous.

Cons. Its cargo capacity is not as large as some of its competitors. Unlike its cousin the Kia Sorento, this SUV has no other major cons.

What's New? The 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe has a refreshed front and new rear styling. It is highlighted by new LED daytime running lights as well. Inside, there's a 7-inch touchscreen that's available even for the base model.

The third row also features a USB charging port. Safety-wise, the car now adds a 360-degree parking camera system. Adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking for forward collision mitigation are also new features.

Models. The six or seven passenger Hyundai crossover SUV comes in four models: SE, Limited, SE Ultimate, and Limited Ultimate. The entry-level model comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, LED daytime running lights, and dual-zone automatic climate control. There is also a rearview camera, Hyundai's Blue Link system, and Android Auto smartphone integration.

The Limited model adds outside mirrors with built-in turn signals, keyless ignition and entry, LED taillights, and a hand-free power rear liftgate. There is also lane departure warning, leather upholstery, and the second-row bench seats can be swapped for captain's chairs for a six-seater capacity.

The SE Ultimate and Limited Ultimate models add 19-inch alloy wheels and a 360-degree multiview camera system. There is also a panoramic sunroof, rear parking sensors, and keyless entry and ignition.

Pricing. The basic SE has an MSRP of $32,335. The Limited has an MSRP of $36,300. The Limited Ultimate and Ultimate have starting MSRPs of $40,935 and $41,695, respectively.

Verdict. The 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe is a great crossover SUV. It has a lot of power, it's comfortable, and the exterior is very stylish. It is a great family car and its warranty and safety features give most people added assurance.
