According to Car and Driver, this specific sedan still uses the V-6. The base 2.5-liter Dynamic Force inline-four has a higher compression ratio, variable cooling system, multi-hole direct injectors, and variable valve timing, Toyota promises higher power and torque ratings.
The 2018 Toyota Camry also promises to be more fuel efficient, considering the fact it has the same displacement as its predecessor. It also boasts of new eight-speed automatic transmission with faster and decisive shifts. This translates to V-6 and four-cylinder versions more enjoyable.
It is known that remaking what is considered America's favorite sedan is risky and expensive. However, based on the sales of Nissan Maxima, this may settle the ongoing concerns.
