The transformed new Nissan Micra has become a car to reckon with after its predecessor that was built in India proved to be a disappointment. The 5th generation Nissan Micra is a far cry from its predecessor with its interesting looks, more choices of powertrain and more spacious and sophisticated interior. It bore the same name with the older generation models but the likeness stopped there.

While the older generations kept their bubbly yet boring design, the new Nissan Micra surprised everyone during the 2016 Paris Auto Show. It appeared to have undergone complete transformation both outside and inside. It has sleeker exterior, with the fussy styling of the Japanese. It is safer considering that latest safety technologies were already incorporated in the car's interior system, according to Top Speed.

Longer by several centimeters than the usual super minis, it yielded more room at the front, with the driver and front seat passenger given more legroom and headroom. However, the slanting roof left the back area a little bit cramped. Children might have enough room but adults might not like traveling long distances while sitting at the back because of the physical discomfort caused by limited space, according to Car Magazine.

When it comes to powertrain, Nissan Micra fans are offered several options. They can go for the 898cc petrol engine, a 1.5-liter diesel engine and the 1.0-liter petrol. Driving the car powered by the turbocharged petrol engine can be a little bit bumpy. The ride in the diesel engine is much smoother and quieter because not a part of the car vibrated. However, the gear shift remains inferior to that of other cars, according to Whatcar?

With all its modern features, the Nissan Micra has become appealing both to young and adult drivers. Given its modern infotainment system, it has become as appealing as other brands that boasted both a fun and easy drive at all times.
