2017 Chevrolet Malibu Review: An Impressively Solid Contender

The latest model of the Chevrolet Malibu is a wonderful family sedan and considered to be a favorite. In a nutshell, it is aesthetically pleasing with a solid build.

The 2017 Chevrolet Malibu. Chevrolet's newest sedan has a good shape, a much better safety record than previous models, and offers a lot of comfort. It is able to hold its ground against the likes of the Honda Accord and the Toyota Camry even.

Thanks to additional high-strength steel in some of its areas, the 2017 Chevrolet Malibu is now lighter, more brilliant, and longer than its predecessors. It has a lower nose and its shaped has been stretched to a comfortable size.

Interior-wise, the new Malibu interior is well-planned and has been carefully laid out. The dashboard has been pushed inside offering more space. The base trims are nylon-clad with pleasant upper trims. The new Malibu features Chevrolet's MyLink interface which is easy-to-use and with a lot of connectivity options such as the standard OnStar 4G LTE with Wi-Fi.

Under the new Malibu's hood, specifically. the Premier model is a powerful turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The engine can give out as much as 250 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque getting from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just six seconds. Fuel economy is rated at 33 miles per gallon on the highway from EPA.

Although it is considered less sporty than other sedans on the market, the new Malibu isn't off-balanced on the road all thanks to precision steering, solid brakes, reliable drivetrain, and an engine that's part of a well-developed powertrain.

The 2017 Chevrolet Malibu is nicely designed and is a refreshing take on Chevrolet's sedan line. As far as legroom and headroom are concerned, it is a definitely spacious. The new Malibu retails from US$28,750 to US$31,850 depending on the variant.
