Here Are The Lists Of New Car Models That Automakers Reveal At The 2017 Detroit Auto Show

The public is already excited for the opening of the North American Auto Show in Detroit this coming January 14, 2017. Global automakers will start off by displaying a lot of different futuristic vehicles at the Detroit Auto Show. For this year, luxury sedans and small sports vehicles will jostle the spotlight together with electric cars and diesel-powered pickup trucks.

For the industry profits, trucks and SUVs will represent the center stage. So here are the lists of the notable vehicle debuts that are expected to be revealed at the Detroit Auto Show which opens to the public this Saturday, January 14.

The Lexus LS. Toyota Motor Corp introduced their first Lexus LS 400 sedan in Detroit which was held way back in the 1989 auto show. But on Monday, the car brand will be revealing its new fifth generation big sedan to the market that is turning away for the famous traditional concept that a luxury brand should be a sedan and not the sports utility vehicle.

BMW 5 series has already dominated the car industry when it comes to the looks of the new 5-series which competes with the Audi A6 and the Mercedes E-class. The company has plans to introduce and display a plug-in version of the car for the first time in the Detroit Auto Show.

Honda Motor is also expected to display their new generation of Odyssey Minivan this Saturday at the Detroit Auto Show. The minivan design has gone down since the former Chrysler Corp pioneered the theme of a boxy family hauler back in the 1980s, but sales last year increased by 8 percent.

Ford F-150. Ford Motor will display their new 2018 model and the best-selling vehicle in the United States at the Detroit Auto Show. The vehicle has new looks and is equipped with a new technology to reduce fuel consumption. Ford will offer a diesel engine for the new F-150 for the first time.

General Motors Co. is introducing their two redesigned sport utility cars in Detroit. That includes the new generation of the Chevrolet Traverse, otherwise known as a family-hauling SUV that will go against the Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot, and Toyota Highlander and Jeep Cherokee.

Toyota Camry. Known as the best-selling passenger car in the U.S. for 15 years will get a major change when it comes to looks. The Toyota Camry sales went down by 9.5 percent in 2016. But Toyota has been redesigning their cars with more impressive looks and advanced technology.

Audi SUV is expected to show a new and large sports vehicle in Detroit. The Volkswagen brand will be highlighted as a new generation of Tiguan sports utility.

Nissan. Analyst says that Nissan Motor Co.will display a new small SUV for the American market. The new redesigned QX50 compact SUV for the Infiniti luxury brand will surprise the public.
