Honda introduces the all-new BR-V seven-door crossover at Malaysia. The said event was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention and Exhibition Center. As stated earlier, the Honda BR-V crossover boasts its maximum capacity to seven passengers, 2 in front, 3 in the middle and then another 2 at the back.

The all-new Honda BR-V, deemed as a new generation crossover masterpiece from the Japanese car maker, is powered by a 1.5-liter engine. That sounds quite small for a large capacity vehicle but it still delivers enough power and at the same time provides comfort to its passengers. The engine runs on petrol and no word has been released if a diesel version is coming.

The Honda BR-V will come with E and V variants which cost roughly $19,100 and $20,600 respectively. Honda sets their Malaysian sales target to 800 units monthly. At a $20,000 range, this should be not difficult to attain.

What Does Honda BR-V Mean?

According to a post at Sinchew.com, Honda BR-V means Bold Runabout Vehicle. The concept was developed by Honda Automotive Asia Pacific Group (HRAP). This model is the first HRAP output to be introduced in Malaysia. With that said, so much expectation is being hyped up for the 7-seater crossover.

Mr. Noriaki Abe, President for Honda Motor Asia and Oceania region along with the chief executive of the Department of the Ministry of Health, said that the ASEAN auto market will still continue to strive despite last year's slowdown. They believe it still would be a diverse market with substantial spending power, in a sense, they believe that it still has potential growth.

Honda BR-V Features

The all-new 7-seater crossover Honda BR-V is equipped with 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine with a suffix 'BR-V'. It has a maximum of 120 horsepower and a torque of 145 Nm. That engine is matched with their very own CVT seamless transmission technology.

On top of that, it has 16-inch alloy rims with dual tone colors. The all-new Honda BR-V will also feature LED daytime running lights, roof racks for extra cargo, and a lot more. The higher model labeled "V" will feature a 6.1 inch entertainment system that can be activated via touch. It will also have auto climate control, leather seats, and other premium features.
