AMD Ryzen specifications, release date, CPU packages, and their respective prices are now anticipated by users, fans, and critics alike. With the latest info updates on the Zen-based AMD processors, inquiries about Ryzen's capabilities have been gradually unveiled. This is the age of the internet and even the littlest peek of an up and coming tech trend would go viral at any time.

Details of the upcoming AMD Ryzen have been scarce the past few months even after their New Horizon gathering. The sneak peek of the highly anticipated AMD Zen-based processor has not adequately informed users such as gamers, graphic designers, and other professionals that require demanding PC requirements. Not until today, fans of the Ryzen processor will finally have some tangible information to hold on to.

AMD Ryzen Tiers and Variants

Reports say that AMD will have the same strategy for branding as with Intel. This will involve 3 tiers and with the recent AMD Ryzen update, it will now have a fourth one. The Ryzen tier names will be called Summit Ridge 7, Summit Ridge 5, and Summit Ridge 3. The fourth one will be named SR7 Black Edition, taking the idea from the FX series.

AMD Ryzen CPU line-up will be adaptive to its various types of consumers. With that said, the Ryzen should be a potential threat to Intel's dominance in the computer processor market. With the CPU variants, AMD will now have leverage on price groups for their Ryzen models.

AMD Ryzen Price

The AMD Ryzen SR3, said to be the counterpart for Intel's Core i3, will set back consumers at $149. This is according to WCCF. The AMD Ryzen SR5 and SR7 are said to be priced at $250 and $350 respectively. The premium SR7 Black Edition will cost $500.

AMD Ryzen Release Date

The Ryzen SR7 and SR7 Black Edition will be rolled out ahead this month. SR3 and SR7 will then follow by March. It is important to note that these dates are not yet confirmed by AMD themselves. For those who are anticipating and getting the AMD Ryzen processors, there's only a few weeks left for saving up.

AMD Ryzen Overclock to 5GHz

The AMD Ryzen has also been reported to have the ability to go up to 5GHz when overclocked with just air cooling. However, Ryzen overclocking is also said to be only done for one core only, this would be a shattering dreams for those who wish to outperform the Intel Core i7 at a friendly price. It is also worth noting, that this needs to be confirmed by AMD themselves.
